Dressmaking Skills Course


The Skills Malaysia INVITE Dressmaking course provides theoretical and practical training on basic sewing skills. Students will have to complete 21 modules covering computerised embroidery machine stitching, uniform / corporate wear, evening wear, wedding dress, and other management topics such as finance, management, training management, personal management and section meeting. 

Graduate trainees have the opportunity to participate in the careers of fashion and textile industries, become skilled trainers or venture into their own businesses.

Certification / Awards

Assessment may be conducted through oral, written and practical methods.
Upon completion of this course, students will receive the following Certificates and Diplomas:
  • Malaysian Skills Certificate – Dressmaker (Level 1)
  • Malaysian Skills Certificate – Senior Dressmaker  (Level 2)
  • Malaysian Skills Certificate – Dressmaker Supervisor (Level 3)
